Implementation and Delivery

Implementing country platforms requires clear operational systems, well-defined institutional accountability frameworks, an understanding of policy landscape, and the capacity to organize ministries, agencies, financing partners and project developers. Successful platforms build strong operational foundations early to enable effective delivery. This includes distributed execution capacity across relevant ministries and agencies supported by monitoring systems that generate genuine accountability.

This pillar provides resources on implementation and delivery, including examples from existing platforms of implementation and progress updates. These resources aim to help address the following questions:

What are some examples of existing country platforms that have been successful in their implementation and delivery?
How can institutions effectively collaborate during the delivery phase?
How can progress be monitored and accountability ensured?
How can risks be managed and adjustments made when implementation challenges arise?

As the Knowledge Portal progresses to its full launch at COP31, available resources are expected to grow.

The template may be able to help to identify the project’s stage of development and supports early assessment of project bankability. The template was originally designed for JETP energy transition projects, but can be adapted for use in other sectors.
