The Country Platforms Hub (“CP Hub,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

2. Information We Collect

The Country Platforms Hub is a developing-country-led initiative created to support governments in turning national climate and development priorities into coordinated, investable programmes. It exists to help countries move from strategy and ambition to practical delivery by strengthening country-owned platforms that align finance, partners and implementation behind national goals. In carrying out these functions, the Hub may collect limited personal data, including through its website, digital platforms and related activities. This may include information collected for website analytics and performance monitoring, as well as data provided by users who subscribe to updates, register for events, or participate in Hub-related communications and engagements.

Information collected may include:

  • Number of users and sessions
  • Country and general geographic location (aggregated)
  • Pages and sections visited
  • Search queries performed
  • Resources viewed or downloaded
  • Time spent on pages and the site
  • Browser type, device, and operating system
  • IP address and online identifiers

This data is generally aggregated and not used to directly identify individuals. We limit the collection of personal information to what is relevant and necessary for the purpose for which it is collected. We do not ordinarily collect special personal information unless: Express consent has been obtained; or It is required or permitted by law.
